Privacy, POPIA, terms and accessibility.

This platform collects only the personal information required to administer the GBV Socio-Economic Imbizo 2026 and its related initiative activities: delegate registration, submissions, nominations, applications and enquiries.

Information you provide is used to administer your participation, communicate with you about the event and initiative, and — in aggregate, anonymised form only — to report on participation patterns. Individual records are never published.

This platform is not a channel for confidential incident reports or survivor case data. A future survivor-support service, if launched, will operate under a separate privacy architecture and security model, and its data will never be mixed with event registration data.

The initiative processes personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). In practice this means:

Minimum necessary data: forms ask only for what the event and initiative require.

Consent records: each consent you give is recorded with a timestamp and can be withdrawn.

Role-based access: only authorised members of the organising team can access delegate and submission records, under controlled permissions with an audit trail.

Retention and deletion: records are retained only as long as the initiative requires, with defined deletion and anonymisation workflows. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information at any time via the contact page.

Content on this platform describes an event and initiative in active planning. Speaker confirmations, session times, submission deadlines, ticket pricing and partner announcements are published only once confirmed; material marked as planned or indicative may change.

Figures quoted in the Cost of Inaction section are estimates drawn from project materials and cited sources, and are presented with their qualifiers. They should be read as estimates, not settled measurements.

Registration and submission records are reviewed by the organising team. A registration reference acknowledges receipt; attendance is confirmed separately by the organising team.

The platform is built for accessibility: sufficient colour contrast, keyboard navigation, semantic headings, alternative text, visible focus states, screen-reader-friendly forms, reduced-motion support and readable font sizes.
